Check out 9 month old Leah in her tu-tu (that her Mommy MADE!) She was absolutely adorable. Mom was worried with her teething we wouldn't get any good pics, but I couldn't be more pleased with this adorable little ballerina!

Good news.
Good news: My sister, Tiffaney, will soon be moving to Quincy! She's going to be a 4th grade teacher in Barry (lookout all you Wildcats... she's a fun one!) We're so excited to have her in the same town. She's fabulous in every way. And of course, I'll be excited to have the extra hands around the house for a couple months while she's looking for a place to live (free rent for babysitting???)

1 Already.
Last weekend we had the big first birthday party for Brecken. Our guests endured the chilly weather for our puppy-themed party. I still can't believe my baby is 1... I'm sure all parents feel as I do--time goes entirely too fast, and I fear one day I'll look up and he'll be getting on the bus to go to school and I'll still be thinking it was just yesterday we discovered we were pregnant. Aside from all the nostalgic feelings though, we had a great time. Brecken loved his cake and now tries to sneak anything from my plate that even remotely resembles the sweet stuff. I fear he's inherited my insatiable appetite for sweets. Here's some pics... thanks Peter for snapping for me!!!

Vacation?!? I wouldn't call it quite that...
For all those faithful readers out there (hmmm... maybe there's some???) I do apologize. The last two weeks have been complete disarray. Two weeks ago the fam embarked upon an 8 day vacation to Hilton Head/Charleston, SC. Josh and I were (emphasis on "were") sooo excited--hitting the beach and enjoying a relaxing time with out big 1 year old. But, after two days into the bash, Brecken hit a serious bout with a stomach virus and proceeded to puke the next 6 days. We were only able to make it to the beach once, which was a serious disappointment since our hotel was ON the beach, but I managed to grab a couple pictures then. At the end of the trip when we were in Charleston, Brecken perked up a bit and we were able to visit the Aquarium, Ft. Sumter and walk in the beautiful downtown. Here's a peek. Looks pretty good by the pictures, but don't be too deceived. I'm so relieved to be home and back into the swing of things here!!!
