Cori, 90 Plus

Meet Cori.  
Cori is going to melt hearts!!! Look at her! I had a hard time narrowing her selection down to 90 -- yes 90! She doesn't take a bad picture and she has fabulous clothes. So down to earth and fun, fun, fun. From the 60 we narrowed it down to, here's just a snapshot of her talent --    

The Beginning

I am not stretching the story any when I say when my friend walked into the studio on Saturday to take these pictures, I was literally shoving cardboard boxes atop of one another, mopping the floor and shimmy-ing the table with all the power tools on it over just enough to allow me to have about 20 feet of space. Which to me, 20 feet of space... WOW! That's a dream compared to my basement--ask anyone who has taken pictures down there ;)  But, with that said... here is a taste of me. A taste of what's to come. The studio opens an world of possibilities for me, and for you too! I have so many ideas that I can't wait to share. 


Meet Kaiser. He reminds me so much of Brecken. Kaiser is one. He isn't walking yet (so much like my little guy) and is so mellowed natured. More than once my husband asked... "is he laughing or crying???" only because he just isn't one to belt it out. That's changed a little around my house as Brecken's gotten older--as I'm sure it will for Kaiser too. 


The studio has been such an amazing journey. As I look at what's ahead, I can't help but be a little giddy. I'm praying for many more days like Saturday.

Finally! Signs of spring!!! Angie and Jason had a little snow on the ground still for their engagement pictures, but it was a sultry 50 degree... whew! Hot!!!  :)  Well, maybe not hot but warm enough to motivate me into getting pictures edited extra early.  These two are lots of fun, makes me excited for their May wedding!!!

Don't Bother Me!

Poor Stephanie... little Laina was not happy to have her pictures taken! Out of all the pics, I have to admit, this is my favorite --

Yes, I do realize she's crying, but really... 15 years from now, will she not look at that and laugh?!?  I didn't torture her the entire session though, we got plenty of her semi-smiling ;)  I think the best part was when my little guy dumped out 2/3 of a box of Cheerios just for her. Ooops. Cheerios always save the day.

Rachel + Lance

First, I must apologize. Rachel and Lance, I'm long overdue and that's lame... while excuses don't make anything better, the studio is sooooo close to opening, I'm spending so much time trying to organize, decorate, configure... ugh... my to do list is entirely too long. While I hate my husband being gone, it's probably best he's in Vegas this week. At least that way I don't feel bad about staying up late editing and neglecting spending time with him. 


Okay, back to the newly weds. Rachel and Lance were so nice, incredibly nice... genuinely thoughtful people. The kind that make you want to be better yourself. I enjoyed every moment I spent with these two. They were brave enough to step outside for a couple minutes here and there in the frigid February temps--it was well worth it! Here's a little preview; I have sooo many I want to show you... can't wait until you see them all!

Laura + Eric

Slacking... yes. It's been far too long since I've blogged. So much going on! Drywalling started today down at the studio. We have a finish date of March 1st... all you 8 week doubters need to just hire Caley Construction next time. Andy and his crew are phenomenal! That's it. Phenomenal. I'll post pictures at the end of the week of some progress. Back to business though... I had the pleasure of shooting Laura and Eric down at Louisiana, MO two weeks ago. The church and town are just beautiful (if you haven't been, you must visit -- so much character!) We were vexed with some heavy fog, but I wasn't about to let it spoil our outdoor pictures! Here's your peek guys... can't wait to show you everything!!!

Resolved.

Oh my gosh... what a year!!! Looking back at old blogs I am so thankful I've had the opportunity to work with so many fine people out there and have taken GIANT leaps forward in the pursuit of making c.yellow a hip, happening place. We're starting off the new year with a bang... our contractor starts Monday (Andy Caley--we are so grateful already for your talents!) and have heard estimates of 8 weeks for remodel!!! WOW! So excited. I leave for a huge photography conference Wednesday--my first Imaging USA... totally pumped about that too. Some of my favorite photos are on display this month and next month at Blessing Hospital.    

GOD IS GOOD. Amen.

I took c.yellow from moonlight to daytime a little more than a year and a half ago with the prayer that I could find a way to touch people and just have the opportunity to share some love.... love of pictures, love of memories... love of life! And... at the same time, be a wife and Mommy above all. God has given me that balance and my only wish for 2010 is the same joy that filled the Craig household in 2009 will continue to multiply and flow unto others.

Stop in some time around the end of February... I look forward to seeing you all and sharing 622 Maine with you!!! ~tieraney
