Baby on the Way!

The Loos family will be introducing a new member here really, really soon.  Jessica is absolutely beautiful pregnant -- I can't wait to see what baby will look like!  Here's a sneak peek of some of their album...

Marisa

Marisa and her mom, Sheryl, cracked me up during their viewing session. Marisa (like many of my seniors) preferred the 'tinted' pictures. Sheryl preferred all the standard, color photos. What's the compromise? A proof book! Most of my seniors opt to get a 4"x6" proof book of all their favorites--which normally is around 50 portraits. Mom usually wins out on the larger prints ;)  but this is an awesome way to make everyone happy! Book in the next 2 weeks seniors and receive 16 wallets free!!!

Craig Family Fun!

Let me introduce you to some of my favorite people... first, there's Ellie. Ellie holds a special place in my heart. She was the first of the kids -- you know -- when all your friends start having babies, well.. she was the first. She's smart, she loves nature, she's inquisitive, she loves comic books, she loves wearing a hot pink skirt with a Ramone's t-shirt, she'll eat vegetables over potatoes any day of the week and she has an imagination unlike any other. Here she is--

And next there's Lydia. Lydia is easy going. Not quite the firecracker Ellie was as a baby... more laid back. She can bend her ear into a fortune cookie (just like Mama), giggles at big sister when she charges and loves any and all table food. Meet Lydia!

And here's the crew. Peter and Erin are some of the best friends my husband and I have. Erin helps me WHENEVER I need it (babysitting, cleaning, whatever!) Everyone needs a friend like her.  Peter takes Josh off my hands when he's driving me crazy--in those moments where he just needs to get out of the house so I can get some stuff done (I mean that in a totally loving way.)  And best of all, we get to enjoy their company every Monday over dinner. Thank you so much guys! I love you and am so thankful for all your support!!! Here's just a little peek...

Miss K., Part II

Anyone know of any newborns? I'm hunting out newborns between 3 and 7 days old. Why that little you ask? They're still in that "squishy" stage where I can pose them easily and best of all lots of... sleeping, sleeping and more sleeping! If you have one or know of one, leave a comment or send me a message (tieraney@cyellowphotography.com). If they model, they receive their session for free as well as an 8"x10" portrait!

In my effort to play with more babies, I had Miss K. come back for seconds. It's amazing how much she's grown in just a week!

Snow, Really???

I laugh every time I look at these pictures - simply because it was snowing when we shot these, but when I showed them to the Davis family a WEEK later, it was 70 degrees! Mother nature is getting her stuff together now (at least I hope -- my flowers are in bloom) and the weather is back to normal, but a big thank you goes out to the Davis family for hanging in there and enduring the freezing temperatures!

Happy April!

No joking on this one... anyone who books a session for Friday, the 9th or Monday the 12th gets an 8"x10" portrait and a set of 8 wallets for FREE!!!

On a different note, Little Miss B. paid me a visit last week. She turned 2 not too terribly long ago. Like many 2 year olds (I know all too well!) she took a little to warm up, but after a sucker we were singing songs, throwing Smarties and doing all sorts of giggling.  Check out those big brown eyes... she's going to be a heartbreaker!

Meet Ms. K.

Meet Little Miss K.  She and Mom paid me a visit on Monday and I absolutely couldn't wait to post a preview!  She was soooo good and fell asleep half way through in the hat... ahhh... yes, I know -- you could just eat her up! And of course, my fav. is the one of her smiling. Here's a little preview Amanda and Nathan. You have a beautiful, sweet bundle of joy!

Cori, 90 Plus

Meet Cori.
Cori is going to melt hearts!!! Look at her! I had a hard time narrowing her selection down to 90 -- yes 90! She doesn't take a bad picture and she has fabulous clothes. So down to earth and fun, fun, fun. From the 60 we narrowed it down to, here's just a snapshot of her talent --

The Beginning

I am not stretching the story any when I say when my friend walked into the studio on Saturday to take these pictures, I was literally shoving cardboard boxes atop of one another, mopping the floor and shimmy-ing the table with all the power tools on it over just enough to allow me to have about 20 feet of space. Which to me, 20 feet of space... WOW! That's a dream compared to my basement--ask anyone who has taken pictures down there ;)  But, with that said... here is a taste of me. A taste of what's to come. The studio opens an world of possibilities for me, and for you too! I have so many ideas that I can't wait to share.

Meet Kaiser. He reminds me so much of Brecken. Kaiser is one. He isn't walking yet (so much like my little guy) and is so mellowed natured. More than once my husband asked... "is he laughing or crying???" only because he just isn't one to belt it out. That's changed a little around my house as Brecken's gotten older--as I'm sure it will for Kaiser too.

The studio has been such an amazing journey. As I look at what's ahead, I can't help but be a little giddy. I'm praying for many more days like Saturday.
