The Petersons

I know what you're thinking... where's the European photos???  I actually took a "break" and didn't take a crazy, heavy camera with me.  I did take my Rebel, but it's pounds lighter and when you're trekking all over the European countryside, well, I was relieved.  So, instead of editing vacation pictures, I'm just going to post them "straight out of the box" after I get them off the card tomorrow.  For now, I've finished the Peterson's family portraits.  Adorable, sweet kids--check them out!

Back! with Little Mr. N.

I'm back on the radar!  Europe was fabulous and while I'm all sorts of messed up with my internal clock, it was a GREAT way to get inspired and get disconnected--no phone!  I'm all sorts of energized and ready to work... starting with Mr. N--

Kara + Jordan

And the previews keep coming!  Kara and Jordan were married last month at the Women's City Club--one of my favorite places to take pictures.  I hadn't been there in a while and to be honest, it made me a little sad... the front porch is needing a coat of paint and a little TLC :(   It's still beautiful, and hopefully the maintenance will be coming soon??? Anyone know what we can do to help? (Post comments in the blog if you know!!!)  I am always in for ways to keep Quincy beautiful!  But back to the Mesters... Kara was beautiful--all the soft warm light coming in the room she got ready in... ahhh... a photographers dream!  And outside--I LOVED IT! Congrats guys! I have so many to show you; here's a peek!

Mr. A.

Mr. A came to see me a couple weeks after he was born.  He didn't last long... before I knew it he was dozing off on my big yellow pillow... ahhh... snuggly.

Cousins.

I get a lot of cousins here at the studio.  I've been taking little Miss R.'s photos since she was really little.  In fact, you might remember me blogging about taking pictures of her with Mommy and Daddy before he left for his last tour overseas in the military.  But in any case, she brought her cousins to the studio for this shoot.  It was funny though... she didn't make many pictures--she was busy doing her thing and really didn't want to get in front of the camera all that too much.  Of course we did sneak a few of her too, but the majority was of these two cuties...

Un-photogenic... no such thing!

Jenny and Troy are in my Thursday night bible study.  Love these guys.  I always keep these guys in my back pocket for those moments when you just need some parenting inspiration.  They love God and show such compassion and patience for others--including their little Miss A. They came to me with the claim, "we just aren't photogenic people... and last time Miss A. got her pictures taken, she cried through the entire session." What??? Look at these guys--no lack of love or beauty here!

My Kiddo.

I've been feeling rather guilty for not taking pictures of my own little guy lately.  It would be like a gardener not feeding their kids vegetables, right???  Okay, maybe extreme, but these are helping me relieve my conscious.  The last ones crack me up--Aunt Tiff bought Brecken a Woody toy last week (yeap... he made a picture or two ;)  and I brought him along to "tickle" him.  Wow--what a reaction! Most will tell you taking pictures of your own kids is a crazy ball of wax, but Woody made things so much funnier.  

Micah + Benitez

So I've never had a bride do her own hair... until Micah!!!  From what I hear (and saw)--she's one of the hottest stylists in town.  I had so much fun with these girls at the salon where she works down in Murphysboro, IL.  And Benitez won my heart when he totally broke down when he saw how beautiful she looked.  She and Benitez had a rockin' party afterwards. Check out their beautiful little girl on the dance floor ;)   Congrats guys!!!
