This the season

I think I stew over our Christmas card more than I worry about anything else! I've been trying to get creative; here are some images from this weekend. (You can tell I'm stuck on the "Old School" look!)

2 of 3!

Wow! The triplets have gotten so much bigger since I last took their pictures (and the girls have so much hair!!) Poor Karly was not happy... I did manage to sneak in some good shots while she was on Mommy's lap though. I have to share this though--
Anna never wavered with any smiles, but at times Nathan joined in on Karly's tears.

Like Jenny said... 2 out of 3 isn't bad!

Cousins!

We only hope Brecken will be as cute as Nathan is when he gets bigger!

Big Brown Eyes

Jack is a girls dream... dark eyes, dark hair and full of energy! Alisa (Mom) and I worked so hard for those smiles, but he was too busy for that--leaves, berries, rocks, groundhogs... just too much to look at!

Those big eyes

This is one of my favorites... his eyes are still dark grey, but I'm convinced the innermost part is changing to brown. I'd like to see him keep his dreamy dark eyes (one of Daddy's best features!)

Swinging giggles

Yesterday Brecken and I took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and visited a park nearby. He loved to swing--well... I'm not so sure it was the swinging. I think he more enjoyed the anticipation of getting close to Mommy and then swinging away and then getting close to Mommy and swinging away. He'd giggle whenever he'd get close, like this--

And one of our self portraits--

Voting early???

Brecken got in on a little Voting Day fun too! My husband Josh and I got up early and headed to the polls with our little man. After casting our ballots, we took a family trip to Starbucks for free coffee! We shot these afterward for his baby book--so he can always remember his first election.

Scary!

Here's our scary little guy! Of course I had to get a little more creative than a pumpkin or bumble bee--Brecken went trick-or-treating as Frankenstein. I made the head piece. No, I do not sew, but I'm pretty crafty with fabric glue.

Our best treat was baby food! (Thanks girls--and Dale! Mariam, you're like a second Mom!)

N is for Necktie.

This goes to show it's not just boys who accessorize...

Brecken is such a trooper! I change his clothes some times multiple times in an hour (not just for pics... all you Mommies know how messy babies can be!) and this day just happened to be one of those days. He seemed to like the tie, at least for a little while.

October Fun

My Mom and sister recently visited from out of town, so in the spirit of autumn we visited Mill Creek Farms. Mill Creek is one of Quincy's fun spots to pick pumpkins, enjoy hayrides, explore the corn maze (although the rain has dampened the fun a little there) and of course my favorite--take pictures!

We found two "perfect" pumpkins and took them home to scrape out the guts. I let my family take that job; I'm really not one for "goop", so thankfully Mom and Aunt Tiff took over. Brecken got to enjoy them afterwards! See...

Time Flies...

It has been entirely too long since I posted last! Time flies while I'm sitting at the computer editing pictures--cropping here, filters there... 2 hours later... ooops--forgot to post again! However, I've now put blogging on my "to do" list, so hopefully I can keep everyone more informed of what's new (pictures and otherwise!)

Brecken is now 6 months old! Life as a Mommy is amazing. It's this cool club that only other parents understand. I highly encourage it for all married folk (just get some "alone" time in doing what you want before you take the plunge!) Everyday I just stare in awe at how smart Brecken is becoming. His newest trick is raising his arms above his head and then flapping them... in other words, flying. Sounds minimal, but exciting to watch as he learns how to use his arms more and more.

We visited the Soldiers and Sailors Home recently with Aunt Tiff.  We actually went twice in one day. Brecken was uncooperative the first time (little did we know the next day he would get his first tooth!) but the second time was much more fruitful. Here's some pics...
Aunt Tiffy took this one... it's nice to have her snap a couple of us since I'm behind the camera 99.9% of the time!

Joel & Laura's Big Day...

Joel and Laura's wedding had to be one of the most fun I've been to for quite some time... the crowd danced the ENTIRE night making for some fun pictures! One of my favorite touches was the cookies and milk.

Congrats guys! Laura you were beautiful. You have an amazing family and Joel you just add to it!

Caleb & Fam.

Baby Caleb surprised us all today with all his smiles and coos. It was so much fun to see how much joy he's giving Rachel and Josh. I can only imagine how much love he's getting at home!
